Pocket lets you customize the key touchpoints of your member experience — from the signup page where members join, to the emails they receive with their wallet pass and ongoing notifications.
Signup Page
Visit dashboard.getpocketpass.com/customize/signup-page to customize your member signup page. This is the page your customers see when they sign up for your membership program.
You can configure the following:
Branding — Upload your logo, set colors, and match the signup page to your brand identity.
Form fields — Choose which fields to display on the signup form (e.g., name, email, phone, birthdate). You can mark fields as required or optional depending on the information you need to collect.
Terms and conditions — Add your terms of service or membership agreement text that members must accept before signing up.
Pass Email
Visit dashboard.getpocketpass.com/customize/pass-email to customize the enrollment email. This is the email members receive after signing up, containing the link to download and install their wallet pass.
You can customize the following template fields:
Subject — The email subject line that appears in the member's inbox.
Title — The main heading displayed in the email body.
Subtitle — Supporting text below the title that provides context or a welcome message.
Button text — The call-to-action button text that members click to download their wallet pass (e.g., Add to Wallet, Get Your Pass).
Footer — Text displayed at the bottom of the email, typically used for legal disclaimers or contact information.
A live preview of the email is shown as you make changes so you can see exactly what members will receive.
Fallback Email
Visit dashboard.getpocketpass.com/customize/notification-email to customize the notification fallback email. This email is sent to members when a push notification cannot reach their device — for example, if they have uninstalled the pass or disabled notifications.
The fallback email ensures that important updates like balance changes, tier upgrades, or new pass links still reach your members even when push delivery fails. You can customize the same template fields as the pass email (subject, title, subtitle, button text, and footer).
Custom Email Domain with SendGrid
By default, emails are sent from a Pocket domain. To send emails from your own domain (e.g., membership@yourbusiness.com), you can set up a custom email domain using SendGrid integration.
This involves:
Connecting your SendGrid account in the dashboard settings.
Verifying your sending domain through DNS records.
Configuring the from address and reply-to address for your emails.
Using a custom domain improves email deliverability and reinforces your brand with every message sent to members.
Tips
Keep your signup page clean and focused — only ask for information you truly need to reduce friction and increase conversion.
Make the pass email subject line clear and inviting so members open it and download their pass promptly.
Use action-oriented button text like Add to Wallet rather than generic text like Click Here.
Customize the fallback email to match the tone and branding of your pass email for a consistent member experience.
Set up a custom email domain early to build trust and improve deliverability from the start.
Test all emails by sending yourself a preview before going live to ensure formatting and links work correctly.
