Every tier has its own wallet pass design. From colors and logos to the content displayed on the back, you have full control over what your members see when they open their pass.
Navigating to the Design Page
From Customize > Tiers at dashboard.getpocketpass.com/customize, click on any tier card to open its configuration page. Then select the Design tab to begin customizing the pass appearance.
Design Tab Overview
The Design tab is where you control the visual appearance of the wallet pass for the selected tier. All changes are reflected in the live preview panel on the right side of the screen.
Background Color
Use the color picker to choose a background color for the pass. This sets the primary color that members see when they view the pass in their wallet. Pick a color that aligns with your brand identity.
Text Color
Choose a text color that contrasts well with your background color. This affects the tier name, member name, and other text displayed on the front of the pass. Ensure readability by testing light text on dark backgrounds and vice versa.
Logo and Icon Upload
Upload your business logo and icon to appear on the pass. For best results:
Use a 512x512 pixel PNG file with a transparent background.
The logo appears on the front of the pass and should be clearly recognizable at small sizes.
The icon is used for notifications and the wallet app list view.
Live Pass Preview
As you make changes, the live preview panel updates in real time. Use the toggle to switch between:
Apple Wallet — Shows how the pass will look on iPhone and Apple Watch.
Google Wallet — Shows how the pass will appear on Android devices.
This helps you verify that your design looks great on both platforms before saving.
QR Code on the Front
Every pass automatically includes a QR code on the front. This QR code contains the member's unique member ID, which can be scanned at the point of sale or check-in to quickly identify the member and apply their benefits.
Pass Back Content
The back of the wallet pass displays additional information about the member and your program. This typically includes:
Member information — Name, email, and tier details.
Balance — Current rewards balance or points.
Links — Configurable URLs that direct members to your website, booking page, social media, or other resources.
You can configure what content appears on the pass back from the Design tab settings.
Automatic Updates for Existing Members
When you save design changes, they are automatically pushed to all existing members who have the pass installed in their wallet. There is no need to ask members to re-download their pass — updates are delivered silently via push notifications to their device.
Tips
Test your design on both Apple and Google previews before saving — colors and layouts can render slightly differently.
Use high-contrast color combinations for text and background to ensure accessibility.
Keep your logo simple and recognizable at small sizes since wallet passes display logos at reduced dimensions.
Remember that design changes push immediately, so double-check everything before saving if you have a large member base.
Use the pass back strategically to drive engagement with links to your booking page, menu, or promotions.
