Connect your Lightspeed O-Series restaurant POS to Pocket to sync orders with line-item category data, enabling powerful category-based punch card automation.

Getting Started

Navigate to Settings > Sales Channels in your Pocket Dashboard.

Click Add Channel and select Lightspeed O-Series.

Authorize the Connection

Pocket uses OAuth to securely connect to your Lightspeed O-Series account. You'll be redirected to Lightspeed to review and approve the requested permissions. Click Authorize to complete the connection.

Category-Based Punch Card Stamping

Lightspeed O-Series has a special feature that sets it apart: category-based punch card stamping.

O-Series supports automatic stamping when customers purchase items in specific menu categories. This enables you to create category-based punch cards — for example, "Buy 10 coffees, get 1 free" — where only purchases from the designated category (e.g., "Hot Drinks") count toward the punch card.

To set this up, create a punch card in Pocket and configure it to track purchases from a specific O-Series menu category. When a customer places an order containing items from that category, the punch card is automatically stamped.

What Gets Synced

Once connected, Pocket automatically syncs the following from your Lightspeed O-Series POS:

  • Orders — order totals, dates, and line-item details

  • Category data — menu category information for each line item, enabling category-based automations

  • Customer matching — customers are matched by email address to your existing Pocket members

Tips

  • Organize your Lightspeed O-Series menu categories clearly to take full advantage of category-based punch cards.

  • Ensure customer email addresses are collected to enable accurate matching with Pocket members.

  • Test your category-based punch card setup by placing a test order with items from the target category and verifying the stamp appears on the member's profile.

  • If the connection status shows an error, try re-authorizing through Lightspeed.

  • You can monitor synced orders by checking individual member profiles in your Pocket Dashboard.
