Connecting Zapier

Navigate to Settings > Integrations in your Pocket dashboard. Find Zapier in the list and click Connect.

Copy your Pocket API key — you'll need this when setting up Zaps in Zapier.

Setting Up in Zapier

In Zapier, search for Pocket or use a webhook-based Zap. When prompted, paste your Pocket API key to authenticate the connection.

Available Triggers

The following Pocket events can trigger a Zap:

  • New member signup — fires when a new member is added to your account

  • Pass installed — fires when a member adds their wallet pass

  • Order received — fires when an order is placed

  • Balance changed — fires when a member's reward balance is updated

  • Tier changed — fires when a member moves to a different tier

Available Actions

You can also use Zapier to push data into Pocket:

  • Create member — add a new member to your Pocket account

  • Update member — update an existing member's profile

  • Adjust balance — add or subtract reward credit from a member

  • Add tag — apply a tag to a member

Example Zaps

  • New Pocket member → Google Sheets — When a new Pocket member signs up, add a row to a Google Sheet for tracking.

  • Pass installed → Slack notification — When a member installs their wallet pass, send a notification to a Slack channel.

  • Order received → Airtable — When an order is received, log the details to an Airtable base.

Tips

  • Start with a simple Zap to test the connection before building complex multi-step workflows.

  • Use Zapier filters to only trigger on specific tiers, tags, or balance thresholds.

  • Check your Pocket Integrations page if Zaps stop firing — your API key may need to be regenerated.

  • Zapier's built-in task history makes it easy to debug issues with your automations.
